Well we all know it snowed, and we got time of work and school. I decided to wander the college estate and found a flock of Linnets (Carduelis cannabina) feeding on some of the unfrozen ground. Here are a couple of the pictures.

Well after another session in the hide and some more editing, I have got some more pictures of Goldfinches (Carduelis carduelis), sadly they are still not all up too the standard I would like so I’m going to start baiting the teasels again.
Recently I spent another day at Barcombe Mills, I feel I am beginning to over photograph the main subject, the Mute Swans (Cygnus olor), however this time there were some Barnacle Geese present which provided a welcome change of subject.
I have wanted to photograph Goldfinches (Carduelis carduelis) for a long time, I felt it was time to try and nail some of the projects that I have planned, so I set up the obligatory teasel and nyger seed, below are a selection of the results from the first few sessions in the garden hide.
I’m sure like many other photographers this last week of snow has be very welcome, sadly it also totally ruined my workflow process and I now have a ridiculous number of pictures to delete or edit.
I’m slowly progressing through my backlog of pictures and found some taken just before Christmas at Cuckmere Haven. Enjoy.
